Learning Target - I will learn refine my ability to generate questions.
Task #1 - Five Human Needs - Starting this week, every Friday will be dedicated to learning about what you all need after you leave high school. WE will NOT be using computers on this day. Any information you wish to document must be done either on paper or some other method.
We will base or lessons on the following NEEDS you all have. Make sure you understand each one.
- Safety
- Freedom
- Control
- Sense of Belonging
- Fun
Task #2 - Research on Real Life - Please be ready to share your current understanding and answers to the following questions based on just your prior knowledge.
- How much does it cost a month for the following: housing, food, utilities?
- What other activities or needs might you need to spend money on? How much might they cost?
- Based on your calculations, how much money do you need to make a month in order to pay for all the items you listed above?
Task #3 - Language Acquisition - Before the end of the year, you will need to compile your own vocabulary list of the 50 most important words you will need to know for career, college or citizenship.
Homework Tips - Finish your Satire Project for Tuesday. Bring your outside novel for Monday.
