Wednesday, April 27th - LA 9 Tasks
Task #1 - Written Response Review (10 minutes) - Open your Writing 2 doc and review your written response from yesterday. Make sure you have the following requirements met.Take the first 10 minutes of class to add, finish or revise. Submit your Writing 2 doc to the Schoology assignment whithin the first 15 minutes of class.
CD Usage - Make sure you have used evidence/CDs from AT LEAST 1 of our sources and it is properly cited.
1st CM - Your first bit of commentary MUST show that you fully understand the importance and meaning of the evidence/CD you used.
TS - While your topic sentence can introduce your sources, make sure you have included an insightful opinion about the major topic or issue tat matters outside of the source.
Task #2 - TKAM Trial: Characterization (20 to 30 minutes) - Open your copy of the book or the PDF or the online summaries of the trial chapters (17, 18, 19). Find CDs that provide us the most important infomration about the 3 major characters that testified in the trial and add them to the correct doc below. Your next class discussion will answer the question below.
Which character at the trial do we learn the most about how they think and feel?

Task #3 - Independent Reading Time - When you have added at least 1 CD to the class doc, jump into reading chapters 20 to 23.
Wednesday, April 27th LA 12 Tasks
Task #1 - East Asian Storytelling Format - Watch THIS video that breaks down a slightly different hero’s Journey format. On your Reading 2 doc, compare and contrast this method with your notes on Jospeh Campbell’s Hero’s Journey.
Task #2 - Independent Work Time - Please take this class period to finish ONE of the following.
- Finish Your Graduation Speech & Record it
- Pick a movie, book or TV hero that does not fit the traditional Hero’s Journey and identify all the steps on your Reading 2 doc. Make sure you explain how and their journey differs from the norm.
- Write a more detailed outline for the “hero” that you said you would create on yesterday’s Google form.
