Task #1 - Reading Test - After you enter the room and find a seat, I hope you also looked up at the white board and are reading the goals for the day. If you are currently reading this sentence then please follow the directions listed below in absolute silence until you complete step 4.
You must complete these tasks within the first 10 minutes of class.
- Come to my desk and introduce yourself to me.
- Once I have marked you present, find a chair in the room that you would NEVER want to sit in...and sit in it!
- While you are waiting for your classmates to catch on to this game, take out your journal or a piece of paper and answer the following question using complete sentences.
- If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
- If you could be any fictional character in literature, who would you be and why?
- What is one thing you wish you could do in a LA classroom to demonstrate your skills as a writer, thinker, and reader?
- Once you have written your sentences, stand up and SHOUT the name of a mythical creature you wish was real.
