Today, each group will be given 10 minutes to resolve any issues with the jobs that do not fit into the greater good of society or meet the goals of the group. I suspect that some of you will need more time, after your surprise QUIZ, to solidify structure and overall goal/purpose of society.

We had a pretty interesting day for some classes. Keep thinking about ways to increase the productivity and minimize the distractions.
Tonight, write a 1 (or 2 Chunk...5th Period) explaining why your job is essential to the society your class has created. Homework 2/28 - Job Justification Chunk 3/1 - Week 16 Vocab Quiz Please spend the next 20 minutes clarifying and completing the following tasks:
1) Make sure every student has a job to complete and be graded on. I will need some sort of document or spreadsheet (Google Doc?) that I can use to keep track of the progress of your workers. 2) You must come up with a clear purpose for your society that I can use to measure the success of the class. You might need to consider how the United States lays out its goals and purpose. What documents/paradigms do we use in our society to measure success and happiness? What can you show me after this is over to prove you were successful in accomplishing the overall goal of your society? When your 20 minutes is up, we will discuss some issues that I have seen arise over the course of the last few days and lay out some of the guidelines for grading & communication. Time permitted we will take a look at a few samples of Ethos, Pathos and Logos in action. Homework 2/28 - 2 chunk Job Justification using Ethos, Pathos or Logos to persuade me. 50 pts 3/1 - Vocab Quiz Today, we started by taking notes on the 3 key elements of Rhetoric: Ethos, Pathos, & Logos.
